Volunteer
It is with the most sincere thanks to people like you, who have further allowed us to project our voice and message of hope. We have seen how our efforts to date have made a world of difference to those affected with a disease that no one was addressing – not even the Canadian Government. We, in a sense, are pioneers: paving the way and bringing a better quality of life to those currently affected, and those who will be diagnosed with this disease in the future. Very few times in our lives are we presented with the opportunity to be a part of something far bigger than us alone, a part of something from the beginning. This is that time. This is your time.
Every volunteer brings with them a unique gift, whether it is a passion for helping others, professional skills in various areas or their business/personal contacts. For the 2011 Once Upon A Cure Gala we are seeking individuals who are committed to making a difference and not afraid of a little hard work to get the job done while working in a team dynamic.
Being a volunteer has so many benefits: to ourselves as individuals, to the organization to which we are giving, and to the people who benefit from our generosity. Below we have outlined additional benefits for your commitment:
What you will gain from volunteering:
- Recognition in Newspaper Thank You ad
- Written recognition regarding your involvement in the project (Can be used on your resume)
- Potential new professional leads
- An overall sense of accomplishment
- Warm fuzzies by helping others.
- New friendships created within the team
If being a part of our grassroots operation interests you, please check out our list of current available opportunities on the ‘VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES’ tab.
We look forward to welcoming you to our team.
