Emcees

We are truly pleased to announce that Kid Carson & Amy Beeman from The Beat 94.5 have agreed to emcee our Gala!

Kid Carson

Kid Carson’s radio career has seen one big break after another.

The first came just 18 months out of school, when he was hired at KISS 92 in Toronto. Three years later, he headed west to host his first morning show on “Vancouver’s #1 Hit Music Station” The Beat 94.5.

Every year Kid commits time to helping events and organizations with their efforts to help families in need, something he can relate to on a personal level growing up. “I was the typical kid from a poor single-parent family that wasn’t supposed to make it. That experience shaped who I am, and made it clear who I want to help when I’m not goofing around on the radio.”

Amy Beeman

Prior to joining The Beat 94.5, Amy was the co-host of the Morning Show on 101.3 Hits FM in her hometown of Prince George. Always in search of challenging and new experiences, Amy has lived in Pennsylvania, worked as a nanny in the United Kingdom (and for Trey Purcell), completed an internship with Dateline NBC in NYC, and has bounced around everywhere in between.

Life and love brought Amy to Vancouver where she lives with her husband Mark and their two cats (Olive and Luigi).

Amy’s wide range of interests and pursuits include attending theatre and musical productions, adventurous activities such as skydiving, scuba diving and running half marathons. Making sure not to sound too overly ambitious, you may just as easily find Amy relaxing on the couch, watching TV reruns and crying at hallmark commercials.

She and Mark are about to embark in a couple of new adventures: Amy gave birth to twins last summer and they are also in the midst of an adoption from Ethiopia. Follow all of their adventures on Amy’s Beeman’s Baby Blog.
